Project to upgrade access control points

PMO

Fort Bragg will begin an 18-month construction project this month to upgrade the access control points. Construction will take place on one ACP at a time (sometimes two at a time, as construction at one ACP nears completion), with most work scheduled during non-peak hours, nights and weekends. Most ACPs will remain open during construction, however there will be fewer lanes available.

To mitigate traffic congestion, additional security personnel will be in place to assist with the projected increase in traffic at the adjacent ACPs. The projected construction schedule is as follows:

• Randolph Street from Oct. 18 to Jan. 7, 2011

• Yadkin Road from Dec. 13 to Mar 4, 2011

• Honeycutt Road from Feb. 7, 2011 to April 29, 2011

• Manchester Gate from April 4, 2011 to May 27, 2011

For more information, call the Provost Marshal Office, Physical Security Branch at 396-9109.
