ACAP to hold job fair

The Army Career and Alumni Program will host a job fair Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fort Bragg Club.

Government agencies, health care professionals, federal contractors and financial service personnel will be represented at the job fair. Representatives of careers in intelligence, aviation, information technology, security, law enforcement and human resources will also be there, said Erica Hyre, ACAP counselor.

More than 100 companies are expected to attend including Boeing, L-3 Communications and G4S Secure Solutions, all looking to add transitioning Soldiers to their team.

The goal of the ACAP program is to help Soldiers as they transition from the Army, Hyre said.
“The unemployment rate is fairly high. That’s one of the reasons we do the job fair, so Soldiers and their Families can network with the companies and find jobs,” Hyre said.

The job fair is open to anyone who has access to Fort Bragg and requires no preregistration.
