National Football League playoffs are here and after my wild card weekend picks, I know the reason I donít work in Las Vegas as a professional gambler.

Fortunately, I can right the ship and knock it out of the park this week. Like I do every year, Iím calling my shot to predict who is going to win the divisional round, conference title and Super Bowl XLVIII.

Divisional Round:

New Orleans Saints vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Saints proved to a lot of doubters that despite their regular season road record of 3-5, that they could indeed win in a hostile stadium when it mattered. Unfortunately, even if Seahawk fans didnít show up, the Saints would be hard pressed to beat the Seahawks defense. This is a poor matchup for the Saints. Seahawks win 29-17.

Indianapolis Colts vs. New England Patriots

Before we go any further, this game is all about Andrew Luck against Tom Brady. Two of the NFLís best quarterbacks in the game going head to head. While the Colts are good, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will not make the mistake of letting Luck throw to T.Y. Hilton all day. In a close game, the Colts pull upset. Colts win.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Carolina Panthers

Both the 49ers and Panthers like to play football the same way ó† great defense, run the ball and solid special teams play. This game could go either way, but because the Panthers are at home, I give them the advantage. Cam Newton and the Carolina defense will find a way to stifle the 49ers quest to return to the Super Bowl. Panthers win 28-20.

San Diego Chargers vs. Denver Broncos

The Chargers are the only team to beat the Broncoís during the regular season at home. So if any team knows what it takes to win in Denver, it is the Chargers. Giving Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning another shot at the Charger defense and having his favorite target back slot receiver Wes Welker is too much. The Broncos win 37- 30.

Conference Title Games:

Carolina Panthers vs. Seattle Seahawks

Wide receiver Steve Smith predicted heíd see the Seahawks again in the playoffs in week one and he was right. The Seahawks are undefeated at home for a reason, but if any team can beat them at home, it is the Panthers. However, since the Seahawks play great defense and have the best home field advantage in football, this game will be close. The Seahawks win this in a close game 17-13.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Denver Bronco

Luck and Manning on the field again is a great match up. These two quarterbacks, both have all the tools to win, but in this rematch, the Broncos are a team of destiny. For Denver, it is Super Bowl or bust. Denver wins in a shoot out 38-31.

Super Bowl XLVII:

Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Bronco

This has been the match up everyone has been waiting for all year. Peyton Manning against the Seahawkís number one defense. If any quarterback can find a way to break down this defense, itís Manning. However, since the Super Bowl is in New York, for the first time in a long time weather is going to be a factor. Manning is going to add to his claim as the best ever, but he and the Broncos fall short.† Seahawks win 42-27.

Some may agree or disagree. The only way to know for sure is to play the game. At this point I can only go up.
