n behalf of Command Sgt. Maj. Isaia Vimoto, myself and our nation, thank you for all that you have done and continue to do for the Fort Bragg military community.
Labor Day marks the end of the summer. It is a time for Families, friends and loved ones alike to gather one last time before the fall season. It is also a well-deserved break from our aggressive training regime. Many will travel far and near to celebrate and to be with those that we care for the most.
Labor Day is also a time of transition. Many Families are PCSing and children are returning to school. Our Army is reorganizing to meet the requirements and constraints of the future and we continue to deploy units to defend our way of life. These transitions can lead to additional stress on individuals and Families.
During this time of transition we ask that you all remain vigilant against unsafe acts. Pause and consider how you will safely get home if you have been drinking, decide to go swimming or walk away before allowing yourself to become angry and losing control.
We charge all leaders to know how your troopers and their Families will spend the holiday. Enjoy the well-deserved break. Above all, think before you act, and be safe.
Happy Labor Day and All the Way!
