The run/walk will begin at 8 a.m. and is a USA Track and Field certified event.
It is sponsored by the Special Operations Communicators Association.
Pre-registration by Friday will cost $25 and includes a T-shirt, finishers coin, food and drink.
A pick-up race packet will be available from 6 to 7:30 a.m. on race day at McKellar’s Lodge.
Pre-race packets can be picked up Nov. 8, at Sports USA, from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Nov. 9, at Dick’s Sporting Goods on Skibo Road, from noon to 3 p.m.
Late registrations of $30 may be accepted at Sports USA, Nov. 8; Dick’s Sporting Goods, Nov. 9; or from 6 to 7:30 a.m., at McKellar’s Lodge on event day.
Awards will be given for first, second and third place 10k finishers in different age and gender categories.

The walk/run will begin at 9 a.m. and is open to all military/government ID card holders and Family members.
No registration is required and participation is free.
Strollers and dogs are welcome. Prizes will be given and wellness and healthy living vendors will be on location.

To prevent accidents, do not use the trail during this period. According to the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation website, hunters may be in the area, actively hunting adjacent to the trail using firearms.
