Ask any of the youth in SKIESUnlimited gymnastics on a recent Friday what they like about class and the answers vary.

Ask Paul Driessen, instructional program specialist of SKIESUnlimited program, why it’s important and he’ll tell you it teaches life skills such as character development and collaboration.

Gymnastics class is one of many available through the School of Knowledge, Inspiration, Exploration and Skills Unlimited program. The program, according to its website, focuses on the unlimited possibilities provided to children and youth, from birth to 18 years old. Other instruction includes, but is not limited to, dance, piano, drama, voice, cheerleading and reading/English and study skills tutorial.

SKIES Unlimited is a Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation program. All participants must be registered with Child, Youth and School Services, with classes typically held at Tolson Youth Activities Center (Building 4-1431 Normandy Drive).
