Soldiers transition facilitated: The Fort Bragg Transition Center will conduct a Pre-Separation Services Program briefing for Soldiers (excluding retirees) who are within 180 days of separation from the Army.

The briefing is designed to give Soldiers and spouses relevant information in advance of separation to facilitate planning for a successful transition to civilian life.

The briefing will take place the first Monday of every month, unless it is a holiday, then it will move to the second Monday, at 1 p.m., at the Pope Annex. Offices providing important separation information about benefits and processing procedures include the Transition Center, Education Center, finance, medical and dental, Reserve component career counselor, and Soldier for Life. No appointment is necessary to attend. G1/S1 personnel are encouraged to attend as well.

Education counseling available: The Fort Bragg Education Center offers counseling services at the Bragg Training and Education Center, Building 1-3774, J Wing, 4520 Knox and Randolph streets. Counseling hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Counselors/education specialists provide individual/group services to service members, their Family members, Department of the Army civilians and personal/professional learning options to promote and facilitate lifelong learning.

Casualty assistance training: The next Fort Bragg Casualty Assistance Officer and Casualty Notification Officer training is:

Class 04-17, Nov. 29 to Dec. 1

To attend this training personnel must be officer (captain or above), warrant officer (chief warrant 2 or above) or enlisted (sergeant first class or above). Personnel are slotted on a first come first serve basis.

All major commands must provide an attendance roster to Donell Bowser (Casualty Assistance Center) seven working days before class start date. All Soldiers will report to Building 4-2843 (Soldiers Support Center) Normandy Drive, Room B-A-1 (McArthur Lake Classroom).

Paraglide submissions: Articles submissions must be saved as a Microsoft Word document and emailed to the editor at paraglidebragg@gmail.com. All photographs must be saved in a .jpg file format at the highest resolution possible. Information for the cutlines must also be included either in the file information section of a .jpg file or in a Microsoft Word document.

Deadline for all submissions is noon, Friday the week before publication. Please do not imbed photos into Word documents or send information in a Power Point slide file. Also include contact information in the event questions arise.
