Army Public Affairs recruiting visit scheduled at Fort Bragg: Representatives from the Amy Public Affairs Center will be at Fort Bragg, Feb. 7 to help recruit qualified, high quality officers, noncommissioned officers and junior enlisted soldiers into CMF/FA 46.

They are looking for experienced, battle-tested war fighters who want to tell the Army’s story. Public Affairs fulfills the Army’s obligation to keep the American people and the Army informed, and helps to establish the conditions that lead to confidence in America’s Army and its readiness to conduct operations in peacetime, conflict and war.

Those interested in the public affairs career field and are in the enlisted grades of E3 to E5 or officer grades of O2 to O4, please attend the information session at the Family Readiness Group Center, 236 Interceptor Road north of the Reilly Road and Hurst Road intersection, Room 119, at noon.

Officer reunion planned for 2017: The Army Officer Candidate School Alumni Association has announced a 2017 Reunion May 7 to 11, in Columbus, Georgia. The association represents all Army officers commissioned through any Army Officer Candidate School program, regardless of previous locations or branch affiliation.

More than 250,000 OCS graduates and 43 Medal of Honor awardees have provided leadership during peace and war. The OCS is located at Fort Benning, Georgia and continues to serve as a principal venue for officer accessions for the Army. Mini-class reunions are being encouraged. There will also be demonstrations and briefings highlighting developments related to the OCS program.

The itinerary includes the OCS Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, OCS alumni banquet at the National Infantry Museum, Little White House Tour and reunion dinner.
