WAMC 4th of July hours

Womack Army Medical Center specialty care clinics will be closed on July 4 for Independence Day holiday and on July 5, for a training holiday.

The primary care clinics will be closed on July 4 and open on July 5, on the training holiday.  This includes Clark Health Clinic, Joel Health and Dental Clinic, Robinson Health Clinic, Troop and Family Medical Clinic and Womack Family Medicine Residency Clinic.

The Fayetteville and Hope Mills Community Based Clinics will be closed on July 4 and open during normal hours on July 5. To make appointment, call 907-2778.

Band salute

The Army Ground Forces Band Summer Salute will hold a summer concert series to salute America. The concerts feature the Army Ground Forces Band’s concert band, Jazz Guardians and the rock band, the Loose Cannons and will host the following concerts.

Long Street Presbyterian Church reunion planned

The descendant congregation of the Long Street Presbyterian Church, the Fort Bragg Cultural Resources Management Program and the Fort Bragg Chaplain’s Office will host the annual Long Street Presbyterian Church reunion, Sunday, 11 a.m. Servicemembers and the public are invited to the worship service and a potluck picnic lunch on the church grounds. All faiths are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring a dish to share with the community at the picnic. One, of two antebellum churches on Fort Bragg, the church was established in the mid-1700s by Highland Scot immigrants. The current structure was completed in 1847. The church has no electricity or climate controls, so attendees should dress appropriately for weather conditions. For more information, contact the Fort Bragg CRMP at 396-6680.

Commissary survey

The Defense Commissary Agency wants to hear from you. Through Aug. 1, an online survey will be available on www.commissaries.com. You may participate by clicking on the “take our survey” link or accessing the survey directly at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DeCA-Shopping-Survey. The responses will be analyzed and used to improve the commissary for patrons. The survey takes only eight to 12 minutes to complete.

Road improvements

Construction crews are  widening the Gruber and Longstreet roads intersection through the end of the year. Improvement work will include resurfacing and traffic signal upgrades at four signalized intersections on Longstreet Road. Some of the work will be performed at off-peak hours, at night and or weekends.

Reunion planned

The 11th Airborne Division Association will conduct its annual 70th anniversary reunion in Fayetteville, Sept. 22 through 26, at the Holiday Inn Bordeaux.
