Lacrosse clinic: Fort Bragg Youth Sports and Fitness will host a free lacrosse clinic for kids ages 7 to 17 at Hedrick Stadium, Saturday, 10 to 11:30 a.m. The clinic will offer an introduction to lacrosse and skill instruction for new and advanced players. Turkey shoot: Sunday, at 3 p.m., at the Clay Target Center. Shotguns only, shells will be provided. No scopes allowed during this event. Turkeys and hams will be presented to the winning shooters. There will be door prize drawings as well. Shotgun rental and ear protection are available for sale at the clubhouse or shooters can bring their own. Ear and eye protection are mandatory. Participants ages 17 years and under must be accompanied by an adult. This event is open to the public. The cost is $5 per shot.

Combat Cross Country: Service members are invited to participate in a cross country ruck meet at Smith Lake Recreation Area, Jan. 21, 2017. The competition is open to active-duty service members assigned/attached to Fort Bragg. The course distance is about 11 miles. All competitors are required to carry a ruck weighing 35 pounds. The meet will involve both team and individual competition. A meeting will be held Jan. 19, 2017, at noon, at Hercules Fitness Center for those interested. Aqua spin: Tired of a normal spin class? If the answer is “yes”, then come out for aqua spin, Tuesdays and Fridays, at Tolson Indoor Pool.Class 1 set up is from 6 to 6:15 a.m. and class time is 6:15 to 6:45 a.m. Class 2 set up is from 6:45 to 7 a.m. and class time is 7 to 7:30 a.m. Open to all authorized Family and Morale, Wellness and Recreation patrons, age 16 years and above. The cost is $5 per class.
Group Trail Run: On Dec. 17, the Runners Spot in Haymount will be hosting a group trail run and clinic with a demo run featuring Altra and UltrAspire. During this clinic, runners will learn the core principles of trail running. They will focus on uphill and downhill running form and the unique considerations of running on uneven and steep trails. Post run, there will be a raffle for a free pair of Altra running shoes as well as giveaways. This event is open to everyone, so bring your Family, friends, coworkers, joggers and pets.
Ryan’s Reindeer 5K Run: The 11th Annual Ryan’s Reindeer 5K Run is Dec. 17, at 8:30 a.m. The 5K run/walk starts and ends at the Medical Arts parking lot entrance on Hay Street in downtown Fayetteville. The race immediately goes up Haymount Hill and passes through Haymount neighborhoods. Prizes are awarded in various categories. Festive costumes are encouraged. A team trophy will be presented to the group with the largest number of participants. There are two entry categories — individual and Family. Family entrants are not eligible for the individual awards. Pets on leashes are allowed but must be controlled at all times. This is a wonderful way to kick off the holidays with your Family.
