Spring sports

Lacrosse, soccer, baseball, track and softball registration can be done at the CYSS registration office, fourth floor of the Soldier Support  Center (Building 4-2843), Mondays to Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Online registration may also be done at https://webtrac.mwr.army.mil until March 1 or until league capacities are reached. Space is limited.

Registration requirements include a sports physical, proof of age, legal proof of social security number, and documentation of any special needs such as asthma, allergies, etc.

Costs range from $40 to $60, depending on which sport is played.

Adventure quest

WAQ is a Department of Army-approved program that enables Soldiers to reach “a new stage of normal” through high adventure and high adrenaline activities.

It should be implemented at the platoon level within 120 days of deployment (pre) and 120 days of redeployment (post), according to Fort Bragg’s Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation website.

Some of the recreation activities include paintball, water skiing, wakeboarding, indoor rock climbing and broomball.

Womens volleyball

Deadline for registration is March 4.

Volleyball games will take place Monday and Thursday evenings at various physical fitness centers.

Volunteer coaches

Coaches will receive free training and are certified through the National Youth Sports Coaches Association.

The social group is open to all ages 18 years and older who wish to improve playing skills.
