Unit-level softball: The Fort Bragg Sports Program is offering a unit-level softball program through Aug. 8, at various physical fitness center fields. Play will take place Mondays to Thursdays.
Junior golf clinics: Stryker Golf Course will hold its PGA Sports Academy Junior Clinics, from 8:30 to 11 a.m., on Friday. Other upcoming dates include: Monday, Wednesday and Aug. 9. Youth will learn skills such as putting and chipping techniques, as well as golf etiquette and rules. Cost per session is $20 per student. The sessions are limited to the first 25 students. Target center: Fort Bragg Clay Target Center will offer the last two of its 2013 Trifecta events, Aug. 17 and Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Costs is $40 for identification cardholders and guests, and $45 for the general public. The fee includes a round of skeet, a round of trap, a round of wooble trap and a steak meal. An award trophy will be given for the high overall shooter.
Softball tournament: Menís softball tournament will take place Aug.† 22 to 26 at various Fort Bragg fields. The program is open exclusively to active-duty personnel at no cost. Program and registration information is available online at www.fortbraggmwr.com/sports. Each battalion is authorized to enter a team into this double elimination tournament.
