More than 60 female Soldiers

assigned to the 20th Engineer Brigade stretch after completing a two-mile run Thursday morning. The Soldiers all chose to wear pink T-shirts in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is observed annually during the month of October.

“This month, we decided to support people who are facing that challenge, while also challenging females in the unit and making sure they understand that no matter what you’re going through, there’s always an end point or that light at the end of the tunnel,” said Capt. Chinyere Asoh, battalion S-1 for the 27th Engineer Battalion. She said the run was a means of telling them to keep pushing regardless of the hardships they may face.
