Antiterrorism awareness contest held: August is Antiterrorism Awareness Month. Fort Bragg will start this event by conducting additional training and educational activities to instill, enhance, and sustain a heightened level of awareness and vigilance. Family members are encouraged to participate in antiterrorism training (Level 1).
The training is available through the military memberís unit or at https://atlevel1.dtic.mil/at/ (AKO user ID and password required). This year, the installation will conduct an antiterrorism awareness contest for youths. The contest will have two categories: Category 1 will consist of elementary age students and; Category 2 is for middle school age students.
There will be first, second and third place prizes awarded for each category. Students participating have the option of preparing an essay, drawing, or video on what antiterrorism awareness means to them. Products should be submitted to participantís neighborhood center during the week of Aug. 20 to 24, with contact information and category (or age).

DLA parking expanded: The Defense Logistic Agency has expanded its parking lot and it is now one-way so enter cautiously. All customers must sign in at the newly opened entry control point just inside the yard. All turn-ins and pick-ups are by appointment only. Job fair coming to Bragg: CivilianJobs.com will host a Career Expo Wednesday, at Fort Bragg and July 19 at Camp Lejeune, N.C. The fair is for the men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, retirees, veterans, and members of the National Guard and Reserve and their spouses. Transitioning military and military veterans are encouraged to pre-register for the event at civilianjobs.com.
Their skills will be matched against all attending employers. Those employers will be sent a copy of the matched candidateís resume prior to the career expo.

Recycle old directories: New Century Link telephone directories have been distributed on Fort Bragg and Bragg about Recycling urges everyone to dispose of their old directories in proper recycling containers at the following locations through July 30:
Network Enterprise Center, Building 1-1548 on Scott Street. This site will be used by customers obtaining new directories from the NEC-Fort Bragg only.
Fort Bragg Recycling Center, Building 3-1240 at the corner of Butner and Reilly roads across from Fort Bragg Veterinary Clinic. This site is open to all individuals on the installation. For more information, call 396-5323/432-6412/396-3372.
