Greetings from The Association of Bragg Spouses and the 2013 Yule Mart Committee.
For 23 years, the ABS has held the Yule Mart craft fair on Fort Bragg for the military and local community’s recreational enjoyment. The event is traditionally endorsed and command-supported with installation logistical and manpower support.
Proceeds from the Yule Mart are used to provide college scholarships and directly support the installation’s Soldiers and Families. Each year the ABS is able to donate thousands of dollars to military children of all ranks in addition to general welfare donations to the community.
This year’s Yule Mart is being held on Nov. 22 and 23, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Nov. 24, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
We have been privileged in the past years to have the support and participation of volunteers from various units on Fort Bragg. Their support and participation has been invaluable to the success of the Yule Mart. It is our hope that you will consider continuing this participation for this year’s Yule Mart.
The areas that we need assistance in are as follows:
– We need baked goods donated and volunteers to run the booth.
Pictures with Santa
– We have a Santa suit and will also provide the camera, printer and paper for the pictures. We need a Santa and his helpers to run this booth.
Santa’s Secret Shop
– This is the area that is open to children to buy presents for parents and siblings. We need volunteers to work closely with our newly formed SSS committee to help set up, tear down, and work this booth area.
– We need volunteers to collect money and give out tickets at the door.
If you and your unit are willing to participate in the Yule Mart, or if you have more questions concerning this commitment, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Mary Ring at email@example.com by Nov. 15.
Thank you for your consideration!
