Job fair: The Fort Bragg Directorate of Family and Morale Recreation and Welfare will host a job fair Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Smith Lake Recreation Area, Building Q-5144. Gate access is not required when entering Smith Lake Recreation Area. Signs will be posted.

Childcare: Child and Youth Program Assistant (summer only), cook, maintenance worker (MVO) and Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO).

Soldiers transition facilitated: The Fort Bragg Transition Center will conduct a Pre-Separation Services Program briefing for Soldiers (excluding retirees) who are within 180 days of separation from the Army. The briefing is designed to give Soldiers and spouses relevant information in advance of separation to facilitate planning for a successful transition to civilian life.

The briefing will take place the first Monday of every month, unless it is a holiday, then it will move to the second Monday, at 1 p.m., at the Pope Annex.

Offices providing important separation information about benefits and processing procedures include the Transition Center, Education Center, finance, medical and dental, Reserve component career counselor, and Soldier for Life. No appointment is necessary to attend. G1/S1 personnel are encouraged to attend as well.

Education counseling available: The Fort Bragg Education Center offers counseling services at the Bragg Training and Education Center, Building 1-3774, J Wing, 4520 Knox and Randolph streets. Counseling hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Counselors/education specialists provide individual/group services to service members, their Family members, Department of the Army civilians and personal/professional learning options to promote and facilitate lifelong learning.

Officer reunion planned for 2017: The Army Officer Candidate School Alumni Association has announced a 2017 Reunion May 7 to 11, in Columbus, Georgia. The association represents all Army officers commissioned through any Army Officer Candidate School program, regardless of previous locations or branch affiliation.

More than 250,000 OCS graduates and 43 Medal of Honor awardees have provided leadership during peace and war. The OCS is located at Fort Benning, Georgia and continues to serve as a principal venue for officer accessions for the Army. Mini-class reunions are being encouraged. There will also be demonstrations and briefings highlighting developments related to the OCS program.

The itinerary includes the OCS Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, OCS alumni banquet at the National Infantry Museum, Little White House Tour, and reunion dinner.

Paraglide submissions: When submitting articles and photographs to the Paraglide for publication, there are some basic guidelines one must follow. Articles submissions must be saved as a Microsoft Word document and emailed to the editor at paraglidebragg@gmail.com.

Deadline for all submissions is noon, Friday the week before publication. All photographs must be saved in a .jpg file format at the highest resolution possible. Information for the cutlines must also be included either in the file information section of a Photoshop .jpg file or in a Microsoft Word document.

Please do not imbed photos into Word documents or send information in a PowerPoint slide file. Also include contact information in the event questions arise.
