An Honor Guard Team

leads off the contingent of Airmen from Fort Bragg’s Pope Field marching in Fayetteville’s Veterans Day Parade, Saturday. There are five Air Force major commands operating on Pope Field and 3,600 Airmen contributing to local training missions with both the Air Force and the Army, as well as military missions across the globe. The Airmen are led by the senior officers from three of the commands: Col. Daniel Tulley, 43rd Airlift Group commander; Col. Roy Fatur, 18th Air Support Operations Group commander; and Col. Karl Schmitkons, 440th Airlift Wing vice commander. Following the commanders is a formation of 150 Total Force Airmen from Pope Field. These Airmen are directly contributing to the War on Terror and securing our nation’s defense.
