“If I’m Bein’ Honest” is the latest single by bestselling country artist Chase Rice.
If I’m Bein’ Honest, Rice will bring his music to Fort Bragg for this year’s Independence Day celebration at the Main Post Parade Field. Rice arrived on the music scene with “Ready Set Roll,” a hit single from his 2014 album “Ignite the Night.”
He was also previously known as a participant on the TV show “Survivor: Nicaragua,” which aired in 2010, where he finished as the runner-up to winner Jud “Fabio” Birza.
Reared in Asheville, North Carolina, Rice returns to his home state to perform for the Fort Bragg community.
“We take a lot of pride in sharing our celebration with the communities that support us year in and year out,” said Tom McCollum, Fort Bragg Garrison Public Affairs Office chief.
Other acts scheduled to perform this year include the JC Allstars and the 82nd Airborne Division Rock Band. The JC Allstars, according to officials, raise awareness and money for veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury and from post-traumatic stress disorder.
“We are thrilled to be offering a wide variety of musical acts this year,” said McCollum.
Free and open to the public, this year’s event will also include food and fireworks. It will take place from 3 to 10 p.m.
According to a Fort Bragg press release, the fireworks display will also include the firing of more than 110 howitzer rounds by the 82nd Airborne Division Artillery, a salute to the 50 states and a performance of Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture.”
