ASHEBORO — For Flag Day, we will not only be commemorating Robert Heft, the original designer of our flag, but also celebrating Betsy Ross, the lady who actually sewed our first American flag.

We are a proud and patriotic people and we are going to use our knitting needles to prove it by making our very own American flag in this class with Le’Tonya Teague on Saturday, June 9, from 1-4 p.m.

Class is for ages 18 and up. Cost is $65 for members and $70 for non-members. Enrollment deadline is Monday, June 4.

To register or for more information about the events, call the program director at 336-629-0399, ext. 22, or visit the Randolph Arts Guild, 123 Sunset Ave., Asheboro.
