Dental Assistant Program: The American Red Cross Dental Assistant Program in partnership with Dental Command at Fort Bragg seeks applicants. Qualifications to apply to the program: Applicant must be an active Red Cross volunteer with 25 hours of documented service by the program start date of August 7; volunteer must be a United States citizen; and volunteer must be a military family member 18 years old or older.
Program Information: 650 total hours of training, 80 hours of classroom training, 410 hours of clinical chair-side training, 160 hours of volunteer clinical assistance.
The DAP is a four month program. Applications are due no later than Friday at 4:30 p.m. Course interviews will be held from June 22 to 23.

North PX Pharmacy: The newly renovated Womack Army Medical Center North Post Exchange Pharmacy is now open for electronic prescription and paper civilian prescription processing and pick-up.
Individuals dropping of hard copy prescriptions at the pharmacy window will have their new prescriptions ready within two hours, providing them the opportunity to take advantage of the time to shop or grab a meal at the food court. A drop box is also available for next day pick up.
The North PX Pharmacy is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m.
Veteran counseling offered: The Vet Center offers active-duty service members and veterans counseling services. These services are free and strictly confidential. The Fayetteville Vet Center is located at 2301 Robeson St., Suite 103, Fayetteville.
The center is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Counseling services are designed to assist eligible active-duty service members and veterans in making a successful transition on and off the battlefield to civilian life. Services include individual counseling, group counseling, marital and Family counseling, military sexual trauma counseling, and referrals as needed.

Soldier’s transition facilitated: The Fort Bragg Transition Center conducts a Pre-Separation Services Program briefing for Soldiers (excluding retirees) that are within 180 days of separation from the Army.
The briefing is designed to give the Soldier and spouse relevant information in advance of separation to facilitate planning for a successful transition to civilian life.
The briefing will take place the first Monday of every month, unless it is a holiday, then it will move to the second Monday, at 1 p.m. at the Pope Annex. No appointment is necessary to attend.
Dental Accreditation: The Commission on Dental Accreditation is conducting a review of the endodontic residency on Sept. 14, at the United States Army Dental Activity, Fort Bragg. As part of the accreditation process, the program is required to solicit input from third parties pertaining to the standards for the program or policies and procedures used in the commission’s accreditation process.
