Advanced Transition Class: Soldier for Life-Transition Assistance Program, in collaboration with NC Works, will sponsor the Military to Civilian Employment Workshop effective Monday.
The workshop will provide information pertaining to resumes, job search, pre-employment assessment testing, salary negotiation, types of interviews and an opportunity to participate in a mock interview with human resources professionals.
The class will take place every Monday, from 9 a.m. to noon, in SFL-TAP Classroom A at the Soldier Support Center. To reserve a seat in the class, contact Victor Glover at 436-1304. All participants must bring resumes and wear interview attire.
Troops to Teachers: The North Carolina Troops to Teachers program coordinator is offering an information briefing from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., July 26, at the Bragg Training and Education Center.
Military service members, National Guard service members and Reservists are invited to learn about a unique opportunity to put military skills to use in public schools.
Specifically, the briefing will inform participants about the teaching profession, the steps required to earn a teaching license, and employment opportunities in public education. For more information, contact BTEC at 396-6721.
EFMP hours of operation update: The Womack Army Medical Center Exceptional Family Member Program office had changed their walk-in hours. This change is to maintain compliance with the Army regulation that governs the EFMP Program (AR 608-75) as it pertains to the processing of EFMP documentation in a timely manner.
The EFMP office will be closed on Wednesday afternoons beginning at noon for walk-ins and telephone inquiries. There will be no reduction in scheduled patient appointments. For more information, call 907-3367.
Veteran counseling offered: The Vet Center offers active-duty service members and veterans counseling services. These services are free and strictly confidential. The Fayetteville Vet Center is located at 2301 Robeson St., Suite 103, Fayetteville.

Dental Accreditation: The Commission on Dental Accreditation is conducting a review of the endodontic residency on Sept. 14, at the United States Army Dental Activity, Fort Bragg. As part of the accreditation process, the program is required to solicit input from third parties pertaining to the standards for the program or policies and procedures used in the commission’s accreditation process.
