Advanced Transition Class: Soldier for Life-Transition Assistance Program, in collaboration with NC Works, will sponsor the Military to Civilian Employment Workshop. The workshop will provide information pertaining to resumes, job search, pre-employment assessment testing, salary negotiation, types of interviews and an opportunity to participate in a mock interview with human resources professionals. EFMP hours of operation update: The Womack Army Medical Center Exceptional Family Member Program office has changed their walk-in hours. This change is to maintain compliance with the Army regulation that governs the EFMP Program (AR 608-75) as it pertains to the processing of EFMP documentation in a timely manner. The EFMP office will be closed on Wednesday afternoons beginning at noon for walk-ins and telephone inquiries. There will be no reduction in scheduled patient appointments. Lifeguard classes: Fort Bragg Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Aquatics is offering the 2017 American Red Cross Lifeguarding Course. Participants must be at least 15 years of age on or before the initial scheduled session of this course. Attendance to all classes is required for successful completion of the course. Pre-qualification test will occur at 8 a.m. on first day of each course. Registration ends two weeks prior to start date of course.

2018 US Army Officer Candidate School Alumni Association Reunion: More than 250,000 OCS graduates and 43 Medal of Honor awardees have provided leadership during peace and war. The OCS is located at Fort Benning, Georgia and continues to serve as a principal venue for officer accessions for the Army. This reunion will include a Hall of Fame induction ceremony, reception, and formal dinner that will include the presentation of the Patterson Award. Veteran counseling offered: The Vet Center offers active-duty service members and veterans counseling services. These services are free and strictly confidential. The Fayetteville Vet Center is located at 2301 Robeson St., Suite 103, Fayetteville.
The center is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Counseling services are designed to assist eligible active-duty service members and veterans in making a successful transition on and off the battlefield to civilian life. Services include individual counseling, group counseling, marital and Family counseling, military sexual trauma counseling and referrals as needed.
