Volunteers needed: The American Red Cross is in need of volunteers at Fort Bragg to work with our military members and veterans.
The Red Cross is specifically searching for volunteers to work in Womack Army Medical Center to assist with greeting patients, assist managing phone calls and emails, drive a shuttle for patients, and to serve in clinical positions. They are seeking volunteers Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Red Cross provides free training to its volunteers.

New appointment system: The Fort Bragg Education Center has set up an appointment system to service all education counseling needs. The new convenient appointment system allows patrons to have a scheduled appointment time to meet with an education counselor.
Scheduled appointments will minimize the customer wait time, and users will also have option to schedule an appointment with a specific counselor. Once an appointment is confirmed, the patron will receive an email and a reminder email 24 hours prior to the appointment.
The confirmation email will have a link to either Cancel or Reschedule an appointment if necessary. Walk-in services will continue to be available to enroll in BSEP and this system will not be used for testing appointments.
The new appointment system will be available for education counseling services Sept. 1. Appointments are scheduled for a 30 minute timeframe and may be scheduled at https://bookfbtec.timetap.com. Lifeguard classes: Fort Bragg Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Aquatics is offering the 2017 American Red Cross Lifeguarding Course.
Participants must be at least 15 years of age on or before the initial scheduled session of this course. Attendance to all classes is required for successful completion of the course. Pre-qualification test will occur at 8 a.m. on first day of each course. Registration ends two weeks prior to start date of course.

2018 US Army Officer Candidate School Alumni Association Reunion: Please make plans to attend the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School Alumni Association 2018 Reunion March 25-29, 2018, in Columbus, Georgia.
The OCS Alumni Association represents all Army officers commissioned through any Officer Candidate School, regardless of previous locations or branch affiliation. More than 250,000 OCS graduates and 43 Medal of Honor awardees have provided leadership during peace and war.
The OCS is located at Fort Benning, Georgia and continues to serve as a principal venue for officer accessions for the Army. Mini-class reunions are encouraged. This reunion will include a Hall of Fame induction ceremony, reception, and formal dinner that will include the presentation of the Patterson Award.
There will also be demonstrations and briefings at Fort Benning highlighting developments related to the OCS program and the opportunity to interact with current OCS candidates.
