Shooting, fishing outing held

Patriot Foundation, in conjunction with King Fisher Society, held its 6th annual outing benefitting Soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division. Twelve Soldiers recently enjoyed a day of fishing and sporting clay shooting as part of the outing. King Fisher is a fishing venue that also offers sporting clay and wing shooting experiences. The paratroopers were led by Sgt. 1st Class Johnathan Land.
The fishing experience included two Soldiers per boat, which was piloted by an expert fishing guide. One of the paratroopers said the outing was “a once in a lifetime experience.”
This is one of two outings the foundation conducts with Soldiers each year. In January, the Patriot Foundation hosts a morning of sporting clay shooting for members of 3rd Special Forces Group at a farm near Wagram, North Carolina.
