American Education Week: The Bragg Training and Education Center will celebrate American Education Week, beginning Nov. 14 at 1 p.m. with the Fort Bragg Commencement Ceremony at the Iron Mike Conference Center. The graduation ceremony is open to all service members and Family members who recently completed an undergraduate or Master’s degree and cannot attend their school’s graduation. The North Carolina Troops to Teachers program coordinator will offer an information briefing from 1 to 3 p.m., Nov. 15, at the Bragg Training and Education Center (BTEC, 4520 Knox St., Building 1-3571). New appointment system: The Fort Bragg Education Center has set up an appointment system to service all education counseling needs. The new convenient appointment system allows patrons to have a scheduled appointment time to meet with an education counselor.
Once an appointment is confirmed, the patron will receive an email and a reminder email 24 hours prior to the appointment. The confirmation email will have a link to either cancel or reschedule an appointment if necessary.
Walk-in services will continue to be available to enroll in the Basic Skills Education Program and this system will not be used for testing appointments.

Volunteers needed: The American Red Cross is in need of volunteers at Fort Bragg to work with our service members and veterans. The Red Cross is specifically searching for volunteers to work in Womack Army Medical Center to assist with greeting patients, managing phone calls and emails, drive a shuttle for patients and to serve in clinical positions. Lifeguard classes: Fort Bragg Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Aquatics is offering the 2017 American Red Cross Lifeguarding Course. Participants must be at least 15 years of age on or before the initial scheduled session of this course. Attendance to all classes is required f. Pre-qualification test will occur at 8 a.m. on the first day of each course. Registration ends two weeks before start date of course.
Class #4: Dec. 2, 9, 16 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Dec. 3, 10, 17 from noon to 5 p.m.
Class #5: Dec. 18 to 22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

2018 US Army Officer Candidate School Alumni Association Reunion: The OCS Alumni Association represents all Army officers commissioned through any Officer Candidate School, regardless of previous locations or branch affiliation. The OCS is located at Fort Benning, Georgia and continues to serve as a principal venue for officer accessions for the Army.
