Turkey Shoot: The annual event will be held at the Clay Target Center, Friday to Saturday and Friday and Saturday, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Shotguns only, shells provided, no scopes. There will be turkeys and hams awarded as well as door prize drawings. Shotgun rental and ear protection are for sale at the clubhouse or shooters can bring their own. Ear and eye protection are mandatory. Participants ages 17 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult. For ages 8 years and up.

Spring Lake Outpost River Race: This is a 3 mile kayak race, Dec. 2. Bring your own kayak or use one of ours in an effort to find the fastest time from start to finish. Turkey Trot: Runners get the chance to trek through the streets and residential neighborhoods of the village of Pinehurst, North Carolina at the Turkey Trot Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and one-mile race, Saturday, at 8:30 a.m. Runners can expect much of the course to offer ample shade, as the route will make its way largely through residential areas as well as around stretches of Pinehurst Lake, and past several fairways within the neighborhoods that make up the golf resort. Sunday Trail Run: Starting Dec. 3, the Runner’s Spot will hold a monthly trail run at the Smith Lake Mountain Bike Trail. All levels of runners are welcome. Participants will hit the trail at 3 p.m.
