Democratic candidate for the 11th Congressional District Phillip Price will meet with residents at Kosta’s Kitchen, 4055 Hendersonville Road, Fletcher, Saturday, Feb. 24, from 8:30-10:00 a.m.
The event is open to anyone interested in the future of Western North Carolina who wants answers to pressing political questions.
Price will speak briefly about his platform, which focuses on better jobs and higher wages. Jobs and wages, he maintains, are closely connected to health care for all, protecting the environment, expanding free education and securing high speed internet for all of Western North Carolina.
He will take questions from the audience following his opening remarks.
A small-business owner from McDowell County, Price has lived in the 11th Congressional District for more than 30 years. He announced his run last spring and since then has traveled throughout the 16-county district listening to voters and explaining why he is best suited to unseat incumbent Republican Mark Meadows.
