CG’s Pay Day Golf Scramble: The first CG Golf Scramble of the year will be held Friday at 12 p.m. at Stryker Golf Course. It is an 18-hole scramble. The field is limited to 25 teams. If the number of entries exceeds the limit, a priority system will go into effect. The cost $140 per team or $35 per person. The entry fee includes green fees, carts, range balls, meal and prizes. Yoga in the Garden: Cape Fear Botanical Garden and YMCA of the Sandhills have partnered together for Yoga in the Garden, Wednesday. Grab a yoga mat and rejuvenate at a peaceful yoga session in the beautiful Orangery at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden from 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday. Improve flexibility, build strength, ease tension and relax through posture and breathing techniques for beginners and experts alike. Bring a yoga mat, a water bottle and an open mind to enjoy this all-levels class.

Tai Chi for Health: Practice this flowing Eastern exercise with instructor Rich Martin while overlooking the garden every Tuesday at the Cape Fear Botanical Gardens from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tai Chi is best practiced in loose, comfortable clothing. Dress for the weather as the class may be held outside. Bring a water bottle. All levels and walk-ins are available. Admission to the class is $17 for non-garden members, $15 for garden members.

American Warrior 5k Walk/Run: The American Warrior 5K will be held Saturday, in downtown Fayetteville. This certified run starts and ends at Festival Park. Proceeds benefit His Bread of Life, a Christian food bank ministry. Food donations will be accepted the morning of the race. 11th Annual Anderson Creek Club 5k/10k: Enjoy the brisk March morning temperatures as you run/jog the mild rolling hills nestled along a Davis Love III golf course. This is a rain or shine event held March 17. All registration fees are non refundable. Please do not bring your pets.

GLObal RUN 5K: The 6th annual GLObal RUN 5K will be a glow run! The run will be held April 21. Packet pickup is April 20 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and on race day from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Each participant will get a t-shirt, a glow bracelet and a glow necklace. This event is in support of Gray’s Creek Middle School’s global focus and student travel. This year’s scholarship recipients are traveling to China in summer 2019.
