1. Blood drives: The Cape Fear Valley Blood Donor Center is experiencing a low blood supply and has several blood drives this week. Donors also may go by the center, at 3357 Village Drive, Suite 150, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It also is open the third Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All blood types are needed, however, the center has a critical need for type O donors. There is a blood drive today at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center off Owen Drive from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There also is one Friday at the same location from 2 to 5:30 p.m.

2. Marketfair egg hunt: Marketfair shopping center off Skibo Road will have its first annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kids can hunt for Easter treats, enjoy face painting, coloring and take photos with the Easter Bunny. Children need to bring a basket.

3. Easter Bunny carriage rides: The Cool Spring Downtown District will host horse-drawn carriage rides with the Easter Bunny on Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person, $5 for kids under 12. Tickets may be purchased on the day of the event at 222 Hay St. In case of rain, the rides will be Saturday. Call 223-1089 to check the schedule.

4. Food Truck Rodeo: Hope Mills is kicking off another season of Food Truck Rodeo events on April 5 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Hope Mills Municipal Park. The event, which is free to attend, also will include live music.
