Get the clubs out: The next Commanding General’s Pay Day Golf Scramble is scheduled for Saturday, at Stryker Golf Course. Registration is at 11:30 a.m. for a 1 p.m. shotgun start with meal following the tournament. Entry fee is $140 per team; $35 per person and fees include green and cart fees, range balls before tournament, hamburger/hot dog meal with trimmings and refreshments, as well as prizes and awards ceremony. Take advantage of 50/50 Bowling: Get 50 games for .50 cents each, when you purchase a 50/50 bowling card. Cards are valid through Aug. 31. Cards can only be used in the facility they were purchased (i.e. cards purchase at Dragon Lanes can only be used at Dragon Lanes, and not Airborne Lanes.) Cards are available for purchase at Airborne and Dragon lanes. Cost is $25 per card. Cards cannot be used with coupons, special events, during Dollars Days or during Extreme Bowling Fridays and Saturdays after 7 p.m.

Summer camps available: Check out the academies and camps that SKIESUnlimited is offering this summer! Ages vary. Parent information sheets are available online. These camps are in partnership with Youth Sports and Fitness, except for gymnastics and karate (both programs are part of the SKIESUnlimited Program). High school baseball Wooden Bat League: The league is for high-school eligible players including rising 9th,10th,11th,12th graders. Umpires are high school certified 10-12 games (regular season and end of season tournament). There is a one hour and 45 minute time limit on games, which are held at 6 and 7:45 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays starting Sept. 6 through Oct. 8. Fayetteville 3K Pooch Run: Join other pet-lovers downtown for a breezy jog with Fido, Wednesday, 8 to 11 a.m. This 3K fun run starts out in Cross Creek Park, where Lafayette’s statue stands. There will be awards for top three finishers and for Best Dog in Costume. Registration fee is $20 and includes event T-shirt and gifts for the dogs. Water points will be supplied for pets and owners. Tick Tock Ultra: Four marathon options in one 12-hour day. Choose from the half marathon, full marathon, 12-hour ultra marathon, or the 12-hour team relay. Everyone will start at 7 a.m., Aug. 13, at Forest Creek Golf Club. Half marathon runners complete four laps, marathon runners complete eight laps, and 12-hour ultra runners and relay teams complete as many laps as possible in 12 hours (resting and recovering as needed). Run for Them: 5k/Family fun run, Hope for the Warriors. Participants will run a complete 5K route or as a Family complete the course on their own terms, Aug. 13, from 8 a.m. to noon at Honeycutt Park. Every sponsor, participant and vendor is there to honor Hope for the Warriors and all of their services for military veterans and Families.

Fort Bragg 5K Walk/Run: Grab your running shoes and join us for the monthly Fort Bragg 5K. The next race is Aug. 20, 8 a.m., at Hedrick Stadium.
